User Privacy Choices

At Roth Wizards, we believe you should have control over your personal information. This page explains how you can access, modify, delete, and control how your data is used and shared.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data
- Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
- Right to Object: Opt out of certain data processing activities
1. Accessing Your Data
You can view most of your data directly in the Roth Wizards app:
- Open the Roth Wizards app
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Export My Data to download a copy of all your information
To request additional information or a detailed data report, contact us at privacy@rothwizards.com.
2. Modifying Your Data
You can update most of your information directly in the app:
Account Information
- Go to Settings → Account
- Update your name, email address, or other account details
- Changes are saved automatically
Employment Records
- Navigate to the specific job or payment record
- Tap Edit to modify details
- You can update hours, rates, dates, descriptions, and attached photos
Child Information
- Go to the child”’s profile
- Edit name, date of birth, SSN (if stored), and other details
- Note: Some information may be required for tax form generation
If you need help modifying data or encounter any issues, contact our support team.
3. Deleting Your Data
You have several options for deleting your data:
Delete Individual Records
- Open the record you want to delete
- Tap the Delete or Remove option
- Confirm the deletion
- Note: Deleted records cannot be recovered
Delete Your Entire Account
- Go to Settings → Account
- Scroll to Delete Account
- Follow the prompts to confirm
- All your data, including employment records, tax forms, and photos, will be permanently deleted
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account. Some information may be retained as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
4. Controlling Data Use and Sharing
You can control how your data is used and shared through the following settings:
Analytics and Usage Data
- Go to Settings → Privacy
- Toggle Share Usage Analytics to opt out of anonymous usage data collection
- This does not affect core app functionality
Marketing Communications
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Disable marketing emails and push notifications
- You can also unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of any marketing email
Third-Party Services
Roth Wizards uses the following third-party services. You can control some of these through your device settings:
- Apple App Store: For subscription management (controlled through your Apple ID settings)
- Cloud Storage: For data backup (can be disabled in Settings → Backup)
- Analytics Providers: For app improvement (can be disabled in Settings → Privacy)
Data Processing for Service Delivery
Some data processing is necessary for the Service to function:
- Required: Account information, employment records, and tax calculations are necessary for core functionality
- Optional: Analytics, marketing, and enhanced features can be disabled
If you disable required data processing, certain features may not be available.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we may retain certain information:
- Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes)
- Backup Systems: Deleted data may remain in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion
- Anonymized Data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you
6. Children”’s Data
Roth Wizards is designed for parents to manage their children”’s employment records. As a parent or legal guardian, you control all data related to your children. You can:
- Add, modify, or delete your child”’s information at any time
- Control what employment records are stored
- Delete your child”’s profile and all associated data
If you believe we have collected information from a child without proper consent, please contact us immediately.
7. Exercising Your Rights
To exercise any of your privacy rights, you can:
Option 1: Through the App
Most privacy controls are available directly in the app:
- Settings → Privacy
- Settings → Account → Export/Delete
Option 2: Contact Us
For requests that cannot be handled in-app, contact us:
Email: privacy@rothwizards.com
Subject Line: “Privacy Request – [Your Request Type]”
Include: Your account email and a description of your request
We will respond to your request within 30 days. If we need more time, we”’ll notify you and explain the delay.
8. Verification
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. We may ask you to:
- Confirm your email address
- Provide information that matches your account
- Log in to your account to verify ownership
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: Request information about what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
- Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
10. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:
- Right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your data
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
11. Updates to This Page
We may update this User Privacy Choices page from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
